CHAPTER SERVICES
The Greater Kansas City Chapter of the Financial Planning Association -
HOLDS MEETINGS each month, except for April and December on timely topics such as retirement planning, tax planning, investments, estate planning, practice management and more.
SPONSORS SEMINARS such as the one-day seminar held each year in conjunction with the Missouri Society of CPAs. The chapter offers a day-and-a-half seminar for advanced planners every other year, with the next one planned for 2011.
PUBLISHES A NEWSLETTER nine months of the year which discusses upcoming meetings, committees and current events.
PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO THE KANSAS CITY STAR through members who answer the "Ask US" column and do "Money Makeovers." These popular articles appear periodically in the Sunday MoneyWise Section of The Kansas City Star.
MAINTAINS A SPEAKERS BUREAU which is available for presentations to local civic groups and other organizations. Speakers provide information on the benefit of financial planning, the financial planning process and how to find a financial planner.
OFFERS SCHOLARSHIPS each year to students at a college that has a financial planning program. Currently, the scholarship is available through 5 local colleges.
PROVIDES JOB LISTINGS to its members through the newsletter and this web site.
OFFERS PRO BONO SERVICES through various charities in the Kansas City area.
